Shifter Fork #5154681 is a key component of a mechanical gearbox that facilitates the movement of gears into and out of mesh. It attaches to the shifter lever and functions by shifting the gears into or out of mesh when the shifter lever moves. Once the gears are in place, the shifter fork holds them in position by exerting pressure on the gear collars.
